These hedgehog slippers are super fluffy which makes them really comfy and keeps your feet toasty warm. The pattern includes instructions for three different sizes – Small (UK size 5-6), Medium (UK size 7-8) and Large (UK size 9-10). However, if you need a different size it should be quite simple for you to adjust the pattern accordingly by changing the number of increase rounds and repetition rounds.

The fluffy part of the slippers is made using the ‘loop stitch’. If you are unfamiliar with this I have included links to both written and video tutorials. It can be a little tricky if you’ve never done it before but you’ll soon get the hang of it.

The slippers require a two different colours of DK yarn (and a small amount of black DK yarn for the nose and eyes. I used a light brown colour for the face (Hayfield Bonus DK – walnut 0927) and a dark brown for the body (Hayfield Bonus DK – chocolate 947). You don’t have to use these colours though, I made a blue pair (inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog) which you can see on my ravelry projects page.

Enjoy making these slippers and don’t forget to add them to the project page once you’ve finished!
