Yet another dog pattern today, this one’s a bit different to the others as its a fluffy poodle. The fluffy parts are made using a lot of chains (just like my sheep and lion patterns) which really resemble the curly fur of a poodle. I’ve chosen to make this one a chocolate coloured poodle using Hayfield Bonus DK (chocolate 0947)but you can of course use any DK yarn of your choice.

This pattern’s a little more challenging than some of the others I’ve published but don’t let that put you off because the finished product looks great. As always I’ve used plastic eyes for the poodle but it can look just as good if you use some black yarn to embroider some eyes.

Use a yarn needle to sew all the parts together. I would recommend starting by adding the nose, eyes and ears to the head. Then sew the legs, head and tail onto the body (the picture below may help show you where the pieces should go).

If you’re done don’t forget to upload some pictures of your finished poodle to the Ravelry project page.
