Last month I put out a blog post called The Ten Best Crochet T-shirt Patterns To Make This Summer with some truly amazing crochet top designs. Whilst the Summertime Tee by TL Yarn Crafts is still on my project list for this summer, I also want to add a crochet tank top to that list now that the really hot weather is heading our way! Crocheted tank tops and crop tops have become really popular over the last year and with that hundreds of amazing patterns have been created. I’ve picked out ten patterns I think you’ll love – they range in difficulty levels, from some simple beginner-friendly patterns to more complex patterns if you’re up for a challenge!
Most of these patterns require a cotton or cotton blend yarn such as Lion Brand Coboo. Cotton is the perfect choice for a summer crochet garment – it’s lightweight and breathable whilst offering a wonderful drape. The Ava Ruffle Tank Top uses Paintbox Cotton Aran, a yarn that I tried for the first time last week – I was pleasantly surprised by the softness and stitch definition created with this inexpensive yarn. This yarn will be featured in an upcoming baby blanket pattern that I’ll be releasing very soon! Join my mailing list to keep up to date with pattern releases and to get 10% off any purchases!
